Leao's farewell to Milan, Fenerbahce blitz
Rafa Leao ready to move to Türkiye and say goodbye to Serie A
The Portuguese and the club have agreed to part ways after seven years, but the exit they were both waiting for has not yet materialized. On the table, for now, only Fenerbahce.
A farewell that suits everyone
The news is that this time the club agrees. In the Rossoneri house it is believed that the time for separation is ripe, and there are three reasons. There is the technical-tactical one, linked to the new course. There is the economic one: with 7 million euros per season including bonuses, Leao is the highest paid player in the squad. And there is the motivational one, perhaps the most difficult to cure: after seven years, the drive has run out on both sides.
Turkey is serious, but Leao is slowing down
The only real expressions of interest come from Istanbul. Galatasaray and Fenerbahce , the two most prestigious clubs in the Superlig, have really made a move and have put double-digit wages on the table. Numbers that would double the current salary, but for now they are not enough: the destination does not warm the player, who continues to wait for a call from the Premier League. The risk, as the weeks go by, is that the wait eats up the market for both.
So if Leao currently wants to leave Milan he must accept the Turkish proposal.
