A team, not a single voice

Golden Predictions is produced by a team of analysts, data engineers and editors working together. We keep individual identities private by choice — to protect the team from harassment after adverse results and to preserve editorial independence. The work is judged by its public track record, not by personal bylines.

How we work

Our process combines algorithmic extraction with human review of contextual variables — weather, injuries, lineups, and tactical motivations — at every stage.

On probabilistic outcomes and corrections

Every projection we publish rests on statistics and probability. Football is a game of unpredictable events: even a prediction with a confidence score of 9 out of 10 still carries a real, measurable chance of missing. A missed outcome is not, by itself, an "error" — it is the tail of the distribution expressing itself.

What matters is what we do when variables shift before kickoff. If a key player is ruled out, a lineup is reshuffled, the weather changes the tactical picture, or any other relevant input moves, we revise the analysis and, where justified, the projection itself. Every such revision is reviewed by the team and absorbed back into our models, so future projections carry the lesson forward. This is how the method stays honest with the data.

Independence

Golden Predictions is not affiliated with any sportsbook or betting operator. We do not receive commissions, referral fees or any form of consideration tied to placed bets. Our projections are editorial, independent, and are not an invitation to gamble.

Who runs the News section

The News section is curated by the same core team behind Golden Predictions, working here as a sports and data-journalism desk. We put our football-analysis experience to work not on predictions but on filtering: we separate media noise from facts — reading team dynamics, official statements and injuries — and publish only the updates that genuinely affect what happens on the pitch.

How we verify the news

Our publishing method, from probable lineups to transfer rumours, rests on rigorous source cross-checking, to keep fake news and clickbait out:

  • Primary sources. We give absolute priority to official club statements, medical reports and managers' press conferences.
  • Cross-verification. When we report a rumour (a formation change, a boardroom negotiation) we publish only once it is confirmed by, or converges across, at least two leading sports outlets or news agencies.
  • Added value. We don't copy-paste the wires: every story is put in context by the desk, explaining its technical and tactical impact on upcoming matches.

Updates and corrections

In real-time sports journalism, situations change fast: a player gets injured in the warm-up and the probable lineup published two hours earlier is already out of date. Our transparency policy is simple:

  • We update articles as soon as official sources confirm a change.
  • When an update contradicts or materially changes the core of a story, we add an explicit update or correction note in the text, with the time and reason for the change.
  • We never quietly rewrite headlines to bury a mistake, we keep a relationship of complete intellectual honesty with our readers.
