Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about how Golden Predictions works, what is free, how results are tracked, and how to use football predictions responsibly.

What is Golden Predictions?
Golden Predictions is an editorial project that publishes expert football match predictions for the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and other major competitions. Predictions are produced by a team of analysts and data engineers.
How accurate are the predictions?
Our track record is published on the History page, updated after every result. We only surface the win rate when the sample is large enough to be statistically meaningful.
Are Golden Predictions free?
Yes. Core predictions are free to read. A premium tier unlocks analyst notes, player-level picks and the Prediction of the Day.
How far in advance are predictions published?
Predictions are released up to 72 hours before kickoff and stay monitored right up to the opening whistle. If something important changes, such as an injury, a confirmed lineup or the weather, we update the analysis. That way the prediction you read close to kickoff reflects the most recent information.
Is this financial or betting advice?
No. Predictions on Golden Predictions are editorial and informational only. They are not an invitation to bet and do not constitute financial advice. Gambling carries risk; please check your local laws and gamble responsibly.
Is Golden Predictions a betting or tipster site?
No. Golden Predictions is an information and entertainment site, not a bookmaker and not a tipster service. We analyse matches to help you understand them better, but we don't take bets, we don't run any form of gambling, and we never tell anyone what to stake. You'll find the same thing in the disclaimer at the bottom of every page and in our Terms of Service.
Are Golden Predictions guaranteed or 100% safe?
No, and be wary of anyone who promises otherwise. There are no certainties in football: it's an unpredictable sport, and what happened in the past doesn't decide how the next match will end. Our job is to reduce uncertainty, not to remove it. We study the numbers, current form and the context of each game to give it the most solid reading we can, knowing the result is always up for grabs.
What data and statistics do you use for a prediction?
Every prediction brings together several layers of analysis. We start from expected goals (xG) and the quality of the chances created and conceded, then look at each team's recent form home and away and their head-to-head record. We weigh up injuries, suspensions and the likely lineups, and we factor in the context of the match: what each side is playing for, the fixture calendar, the conditions they'll play in. Where it helps, all of this also runs through our statistical models, so the final read stays balanced.
What is the confidence level and how do you read it?
Confidence tells you how solid a prediction is, given the data we have. It basically measures how much the different sources of analysis agree: the more the signals point the same way, the higher it climbs. When it's high, the data lines up and the analysis is especially strong; when it's medium, the indications are there but some uncertainty remains; when it's low, the match is genuinely open or the numbers disagree. It's there to show how strong the reasoning behind a prediction is, not to guarantee the result.
What is the Prediction of the Day and how is it chosen?
The Prediction of the Day is the pick our team flags each day as the most interesting one to dig into from an analytical point of view. It isn't the match with the longest odds, but the one where the data, the form and the context come together most clearly, with the best confidence of the day.
What are player predictions?
Player predictions look at how an individual player might perform in a match, beyond the final score. They cover things like a player's fouls, cards, shots or shots on target. To build them we look at his own track record, the role he plays, the opponent's style and the situation of the game. It's a level of detail that standard predictions usually don't get into.
Do you cover minor and lesser-known leagues too?
Yes. Alongside the big European competitions we follow plenty of leagues that larger sites tend to overlook, from the Eredivisie and the Primeira Liga to the Saudi Pro League, Liga MX, MLS, the J-League and many national championships around the world. We want to cover global football, not just the five most famous leagues, not least because the less-covered ones are often where data analysis makes the biggest difference.
What do markets like Over/Under, BTTS and double chance mean?
These are the most common ways to read a match beyond the classic 1X2. Over/Under is about the total number of goals: Over 2.5, for instance, means at least three goals in the game. BTTS, short for 'both teams to score', tells you whether each side will score at least once. Double chance covers two of the three possible outcomes, so 1X means a home win or a draw. And 1X2 is the straight result: 1 for the home team, X for a draw, 2 for the away side. In our predictions you'll find these markets explained match by match.
Who is behind Golden Predictions, and who writes the predictions?
Behind the predictions is a team of sports analysts and data engineers who combine football knowledge with hands-on work on the numbers. We don't post predictions thrown together at random or copied from somewhere else: each one goes through real analysis before it goes live. If you want to judge the quality of that work over time, the History page is there for exactly that.
How do you use the predictions responsibly?
Our predictions are a tool for reading and understanding a match, not a promise of winnings. It's worth treating them as an informed opinion rather than a certainty, never chasing losses, and setting yourself clear limits from the start. The service is meant for an adult audience (18+), and if you feel that gambling is becoming a problem, reach out to the support services available in your country. For us that comes before any prediction.
