Defence against attack
Roma have conceded one goal in four league games. Inter have scored thirteen, but let in six, three of them on Monday in the 5-3 against Udinese, a game in which they were 0-2 down after sixteen minutes.
After the win in Turin, Gasperini called Inter the benchmark of the league, the strongest side, with Como close behind. And he tied the birth of his Roma to last season's heavy defeat: from that loss, he said, the real Roma was born.
Who is missing
Inter: the club reported a muscle strain in the right adductor for Calhanoglu and a strain in the left hamstring for Stones, with no return dates. Assistant coach Kolarov will not be on the bench, banned for two games by the disciplinary judge. Dimarco, on the other hand, is fit and already came back against Udinese.
Roma: no suspensions. Koné is available, and Ndicka and Wesley trained with the group. Hermoso has a slight ankle knock and worked apart: if he is not ready, Balerdi plays.
The Olimpico hoodoo
Roma's last home league win over Inter dates back to 2 October 2016, 2-1. In the last four meetings Inter have won three times, including the 5-2 at San Siro in April, and Roma once, 1-0 in Milan in April 2025.
