Gedania Gdansk

Gedania was founded in 1922 in the Free City of Danzig and became far more than a sports club: alongside the Polish Post Office and Westerplatte it stood as a symbol of the Polish community in a German-speaking city, and the war cost it dozens of members. Reactivated in 1945, it is the oldest Polish football club in Gdańsk and plays on its own ground.
