Defensor Sporting

Defensor Sporting are a Uruguayan football club from the Punta Carretas district of Montevideo. In 1976 they became the first club other than Peñarol and Nacional to win the Uruguayan championship, breaking a monopoly that had lasted throughout the professional era, and they are known for one of the most productive youth academies in the country.
