Chaves

Grupo Desportivo de Chaves, born in 1949 from the merger of two local sides, is the club of Chaves, a town of the Tras-os-Montes region in the district of Vila Real, in northern Portugal. It has spent many seasons in the Primeira Liga, with a best finish of fifth in 1989-90 and a run in the UEFA Cup in 1987-88, and plays at the Estadio Municipal Eng. Manuel Branco Teixeira.
