Atlántico Fútbol Club is a Dominican side from Puerto Plata, on the northern coast of the country, founded in 2015 and nicknamed La Máquina Azul. Despite its short history the club was crowned champion of the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol in 2017, a title that made it one of the reference names of the domestic professional league.
