Division 1 - Sodra

Division 1 Södra, part of the tier known as Ettan, is the southern group of the third division of Swedish football, ranked below the Allsvenskan and the Superettan and paired with Division 1 Norra in the north. Sixteen clubs from the southern half of the country play a home-and-away season of thirty rounds, run through the Swedish summer calendar from spring to autumn. The group winners go up to the Superettan, further places are settled in play-offs, and the bottom sides drop into Division 2.
