Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland is a magnet for the ball in the box: he peels off, attacks space and shoots the moment he can. In front of his own crowd, his attempts easily climb past a couple over the game.
When Haaland opens up his body and lets the shot go, the power does the rest and the ball travels toward the target. Against Senegal, an effort from him steered on goal is well within expectations.

Antonio Nusa
Antonio Nusa lights up the flank with sudden bursts and a foot that keeps running at the defender. When he drives to the byline, the Senegalese full-backs struggle to contain him without fouling.

Patrick Berg
Patrick Berg guards the left flank with care and takes on the physical duel with opposing wingers. Against Senegal's attacking verve, at least one firm challenge from him is likely.

Idrissa Gueye
Idrissa Gueye is tireless in covering central zones and in closing on the carrier before he can look up. That huge range almost always guarantees him at least one tackle.

Nicolas Jackson
Nicolas Jackson plays off runs in behind and, once inside the box, never passes up the shot. With teammates looking to find him, at least one effort from him is a natural outcome.

Sadio Mane
Sadio Mane brings experience and a nose for goal down Senegal's left, and likes to cut inside to aim for the far post. Even as the game wears on, finding a shot from him stays likely.

Norway vs Senegal, two opposite fates after matchday one Group I at the 2026 World Cup has already opened a clear gap, and Norway vs Senegal pits a side that wants to soar against one that must pick itself up. Norway, back at a World Cup after 28 years, hammered Iraq 4-1 with a brace from Erling Haaland on his return to the world stage, rounded off by an Østigård header and an own goal: a debut as a leading man. Senegal, by contrast, paid the price against France, losing 3-1 and finding only a late consolation through Ibrahim Mbaye. Now the Lions of Teranga must respond, while Norway, with three points banked, can play with more freedom. The tip under review is a game with at least two goals. Two fearsome attacks, two defences to test Norway have in Haaland an outlet able to break any game open, and the opener reminded everyone of that; but they still conceded to Iraq, a sign of a defence that is not watertight. Senegal, for their part, remain a physical, quality side who suffered against France without falling apart: the problem, if anything, was precisely in withstanding their opponents' attacking pressure. Putting together two nations that love to attack and that showed some cracks at the back is the ideal recipe for a lively game. Both sides' attacking leaders are expected to be available; the lineups are to be confirmed close to kick-off. A rare meeting Norway and Senegal have no significant precedents: this is effectively a new encounter at the top level. With no history, only what we saw in the openers matters, namely two sides able to score but imperfect in defence. The verdict: goals are in the air The two-goal line has plenty going for it. Norway have just put four on the board and with Haaland rarely draw a blank; Senegal have attacking quality and, needing to chase the result, will inevitably have to open up. When a side that must win meets an opponent who attacks with this threat, the score tends to climb. I'd put the chance of at least two goals around 76%. The main risk is a more tactical game than expected, with Senegal cautious so as not to expose themselves to Haaland's counters and a buttoned-up Norway content with their lead in the table. That remains less likely than an open contest, though, which is why the confidence here is fair.
