Ashanti Gold

Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, known to supporters as AshGold, was founded in 1978 by employees of the Ashanti Goldfields Corporation in the gold mining town of Obuasi, Ghana. The club took the Ghanaian league title in the mid-1990s and has carried the country's colours into African club competition. Its home is the Len Clay Stadium, which holds about 30,000 spectators.
