Celtic lost 1-3 at home to Ferencváros on the opening matchday of the Europa League, to whistles at half-time and again at the final whistle. It is Martin O'Neill's second straight defeat after the League Cup loss to Rangers, and the league derby comes again on Sunday.
How it went
The Hungarians went ahead on 20 minutes with a Bamidele Yusuf shot deflected by Liam Scales, recorded by UEFA as an own goal. Celtic levelled on 44 through Mika Baur, but a minute into first-half stoppage time Zachariassen restored the lead, and on 47 Arzani put the game beyond them.
Ferencváros are coached by Balázs Borbély, appointed on 1 June after the club and Robbie Keane parted by mutual consent.
